We like these sites and thought you might too. We’ll keep adding to this list, so do check back from time to time.
Blogs
Lovely Bicycle – a charming blog that combines personal experience, beautifully written, with practical and insightful reviews.
As Easy As Riding A Bike – lots of good, informed information covering town planning, cycling infrastructure, campaigning and more.
Experience France by Bike – as we live in France it’s fascinating to get this perspective. Full of useful info and entertaining ride reports.
The Velo Orange blog – full of practical and useful information, with a bias towards recreational cyclists and randonneurs.
Bike Hacks – it’s not just about saving money, it’s about making the bike your own.
A View from the Cycle Path – a blog by David Hembrow of Dutch Bike Bits (see below). A place to learn how the Dutch do it right (and sometimes do it wrong).
Shops
Dutch Bike Bits – run by a British couple in the Netherlands, this sells a lot of products that they use themselves, including for their bike hire business, and so which have been tried and proven. The product descriptions are full of useful details based on experience. And our order was delivered fast – with free lollipops! (Okay, we can’t guarantee that last bit.)
